Kelly Carlton Foster, 59, passed away at his home December 10th after courageously battling cancer for over 2 years.
Kelly was born January 21, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended Zionsville Community High School in Indiana. He is survived by his fiancé Cheryl Mobley Faulk and son K.C. Foster. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Celeste.
Kelly worked for Carter-Lee Lumber Company where he was a devoted employee for 20 years and considered his co-workers as his extended family. He truly cared for “his” customers and they could feel his compassion for them as well as his loyalty to his job and employer. Prior to this he had worked for Metzger Lumber.
Kelly was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed watching the Colt’s.
Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank all those that have helped in so many ways over the last few years.

I am so sorry to hear of Kelly’s passing. Kelly and I were good friends growing up in the old neighborhood in our Elementary Shool days. What a great friend and neighbor he was. Prayers are lifted up for Peace & Comfort to Kelly’s family.

Am so sad from this news! I met Kelly while he was working at Metzgers and I worked down the alley at Noble Romans I would stand out the back door or restaurant and see him working and we’d wave at each other.. I lived with him from 1986 till 1988 till we broke up and I moved here to Florida. He was always sweet and kind to me. Would have done anything for me. Have thought of him often through the years and when going back to visit in Indy, even tried to find him, but couldn’t . This is such a loss so young! My heart goes out to the family!

this is such sad news. I just spoke to him 5 days ago. He was in good spirits. He told me he was dying and had cancer everywhere. He didn’t know how much time he had remaining. Gone to soon! I will always have fond memories of Kelly. I grew up with him. RIH

Kelly and I were buds from the old neighborhood in Zionsville back in the 70’s. I spoke to him a little over a year ago for the first time since the late 70’s. It was great catching up. At the time, he was in remission. Had I known he was sick again, I would have reached out. Rest in peace, Kelly. Nothing but memories of the good old days.
Cathy Sharp says
Kelly was such a good soul! We grew up across the street from each other and I have very fond memories, especially of sledding in his front yard. Kelly loved to come over to our large garden and always brought his own salt shaker! Thoughts and prayers go to all of Kelly’s family. We’ve lost a good one.

Grew up right next to Kelly. He had a dog named BoBo and our dog was Corkey. We all thought they were in love, were one was the other was. We would all go sledding in his yard and on Hawthorn, so many good memories that we have and will cherish forever. May you Rest In Peace Kelly.
